Liz Cresci - The "VERY Full" Story

I am a strategic growth coach specializing in working with people who feel like they are floating around with no charted course.

How did I get here?

It took me many years and endless searching for the "secret to fulfillment" to finally realize that the power to create MY life was within me.  No one ever sat me down and told me that my future, my dream life, was totally within my control.

WHO KNEW?!

Roy T Bennett laid it out perfectly ...

"Your core values act like your internal compass which navigates the course of your life. If you compromise your core values, you go nowhere."

... and that's what I felt like I was doing, floating around in life with no rudder ... even if I could see where I thought I wanted to go in the distance, there was no way I could get there before it was out of sight.

More importantly, WHY DIDN'T ANYONE TELL ME?!!!!

Once I understood that the secret was aligning my life and my business with my own values of IMPACT, INSPIRATION, FREEDOM, GROWTH, and SERVICE ... everything fell into place.

I soon came across the Jay Shetty Certification School and became a Certified Life & Success Coach.  I then received my accreditation from the Association for Coaching, a global accrediting body for coaches.  Finally, I rounded out my study with the Business Coach & Consulting Certification from EverCoach/Mindvalley.

The truth is ... I was born into this. in fact, my last name, "CRESCI", is Italian for ... "YOU GROW!"

I am a helper person. As far back as I can remember, my soul fulfillment has come from helping others see the possibilities, get out of their own way, and realize things they never thought possible.

I grew up surrounded by innovative thinkers, entrepreneurs, and people who forged their own paths.  In fact, only a few people in my life held traditional jobs/careers, instead, those around me followed their hearts, their interests, and the desire to create a flexible life.

Yet with all of this knowledge around, no one sat me down to teach me, or share their wisdom around the dinner table. In fact they never even talked about their journey … they just did what they did.

I certainly didn't know I could have asked.

Instead, I spent years seeking my place in the world but I wasn’t quite sure what that meant or where that was.  I have owned my own businesses and pursued different jobs and yet nothing felt “right”.  That is, until I discovered I was looking in the wrong place … outside of myself.

It didn’t matter what title I had, or the business I owned, those answers would always remain elusive if my focus remained external.  Once I turned my attention to understanding what was important to me and “made me tick”, everything changed.

The solution … spending time discovering core values, personal principles, priorities, and desires and then creating the life to support them.

It is knowing that nothing is a “one and done”, or “set it and forget it”. Life is a “living thing”, it moves and changes all the time.  Like sailing a boat from here to there, you can’t do it from the slip in the harbor.  When you’re out in the ocean underway, it is a constant adjustment to maintain the course. As you sail along recalibrating as you go should you change the destination, it is only ever an adjustment away.

It's true what Stephen Covey has said ...

"As you live your values, your sense of identity, integrity, control, and inner-directedness will infuse you with both exhilaration and peace. You will define yourself from within, rather than by people's opinions or by comparisons to others."

While this inner-directedness is one key to success, surrounding yourself with the right people is another.  Having that partner or that group to hold you accountable will make all the difference. It is the secret sauce.

As Bob Proctor once said, Accountability is the glue that ties commitment to the result.”

It was discovering my group that increased my personal and business growth far beyond where I thought I would be.  The support and accountability keep me on track and true to myself. The challenge and inspiration have supercharged my growth.

I truly believe it “takes a village” to be successful.  As the African Proverb states:

If you want to go fast, go alone.  If you want to go far, go together.”

While it is fun to create opportunities for myself, my real joy is helping others see their way out of the “stuckness”, through their own obstacles, expanding on their ideas, and realizing their goals and dreams.

The question is … what LEGACY are you creating?
